If you're interested in keeping up with local news from your country, the Chosun news from Korea is available in English.

Here's a Japanese site and it was also possible to source a Brazilian one. The news from Thailand is available in English at http://www.bangkokpost.com/ and the http://www.thejakartapost.com/ has the latest on news from Indonesia.
